Non-antibiotic dry cow treatment (for use in cows with SCC of less than 200,000). Used to prevent clinical mastitis in the dry period and subsequent lactation. Has the following benefits:

  • Gives protection from drying off to calving.
  • Prevents new infection for dry cow period.
  • Added protection with dry cow therapy.
  • At calving the teat seal may be stripped out by hand or ingested by the calf (with no adverse effects).

Contains Bismuth Subnitrate 65%.

TARGET Prevent mastitis in the dry period and subsequent lactation.
STORAGE This veterinary medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after expiry date.
APPLICATION RATE & TIMING Dosage: put one syringe into each udder quarter immediately after the last milking of the lactation (at drying off). Administration: clean and disinfect teat thoroughly. Allow to dry. Care should be taken to avoid contamination of syringe nozzle. Insert nozzle into teat and apply gentle and continuous pressure until the paste is expressed. Do not massage the teat. After tubing dip or spray teats with Teat Spray and leave cows standing in yard for 30-60 minutes to allow the teat canal to close.
WITHHOLDING PERIOD Meat and offal: zero days. Milk: zero days Do not use in the lactating cow.
GENERAL NOTES Non-antibiotic dry cow treatment for use in cows with an SCC of less than 200,000. Use to prevent clinical mastitis in the dry period and subsequent lactation. Use as part of a herd approach to dry cow management and mastitis control. Prior to treatment it is important to obtain an individual cell count for any cow with a history of clinical mastitis. At calving the teat seal may be stripped out by hand or ingested by the calf (with no adverse effects).
